Why We Are Doing This

The ACA Scholarship Foundation provides the means for underprivileged school children through school supplies and scholarships/grants, but also to eventually work towards a long-term goal of building a school that creates an environment for our youth where they are able to access their full potential.

Among the UN Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) of 2015, the goal of achieving universal primary education was not fulfilled for the Philippines. Education is the foundation for the rest of these long term goals because this gives our youth the tools necessary to combat poverty and prevent diseases such as HIV/AIDS.

With approximately 1.4 million children out of school, the net primary education participation rates have declined from 90% to 85% between 2002 to 2008.

Angelica Concepcion Alberto

FOUNDER

My name is Angelica Concepcion Alberto, born in Fort Campbell Kentucky to Carlo & Elaine Alberto. I am 18 years old and recently graduated from West Ranch High School as an Honors and AP Scholar.

I’ve been blessed with the opportunity of playing for our high school’s Volleyball team all four years and also serve as the Vice President for Key Club, head officer for National Honor Society, and founded a Project Auxilium, which is a non-profit, non-governmental organization meant to raise funds for victims and refugees of disasters and crises worldwide.

As I am a current student at California State University Northridge, I hope to continue on the club I had started in high school and focus on my aspiring goal of becoming a full-fledged registered Physical Therapist.

With my current platform as the Binibining Pilipinas USA 2015 2nd Runner Up, I am currently carrying out a nonprofit scholarship foundation that works towards providing the means for underprivileged children to attend school in order to receive an education so they are enabled to follow their career aspirations in life.
